Fall is here :)

We are loving this Fall weather in Germantown, TN! The dry air is making our lips a little chapped but I will take that any day over blistering hot! In honor of this divine season our Tyler Candles are burning and our scarves have arrived! They are more fabulous than ever; soft and warm, these scarves will make the perfect treat for yourself and a friend.

Good News.. no, no GREAT NEWS!~ We are an official Tyler Candle retailer! Straight from Tyler Texas, we are so excited to have these amazing smelling candles in our shop.

Candle Burning 101-

1. Keep your wick trimmed 1/4″. This will give y0u a clean, smoke-free burn!

2. On scented candles a “mushroom” will occur after burning, this is normal! Simply trim the wick back to 1/4″ after it has cooled.

3. Be careful when blowing out your candle- we don’t want wax all over the walls or the table! Trick-of-the-trade to blowing out your candle~ Holder your pointer finger in front of the flame and blow. This will direct the air to the sides of the flame instead of directly on to it, making for a much cleaner extinguishing of your candle.

4. Never leave a candle unattended or in reach of children!

5. If you love the shape of the Tyler Candle jar, like we do, and want to reuse it after your candle is done burning- stick it in the freezer for a few hours and botta bing botta boom! your left over wax will pop right out! Put a small house plant or your cotton balls and q-tips in it!

Trunk Show

Transitioning your look from day to night

It seems like in these summer months we have more obligations and parties to attend to than any other time of year. AND they are usually all over the city so going home for a quick change is out of the question. Here are some tips to be day and evening ready!

1. Get a cute tote like this one to carry your extra shoes, makeup, jewelry, etc.

2. Wear your favorite sundress. Be sure to pick one that is comfortable, light and doesn’t show sweat marks! (A natural fabric such as cotton or linen)

3. During the day wear flats but at night put on those cute peep toe pumps to spice up your sundress.

4. Makeup- For your day time event apply browns and bronzes with some light pink blush as well as light lip gloss. At night pump it up by applying charcoals and a darker blush, with a deeper lipstick or gloss.

5. Minimal jewelry during the day is best such as a watch, ring and dainty necklace. For your evening affair get a little flashy!- Add some bangles and a chunky necklace or earrings. 6. Be sure to protect your skin with 30 SPF sun block!
